I personally installed Office 2016 (from Microsoft's ProPlusRetail.img which is supposed to be CTR and therefore non-Volume) with an OEM (Retail) key on Windows 7 and I was NOT able to get it working with Gmail using OAuth2! When I try to add a new e-mail account, it asks me for the e-mail address (which is the one) and the password. Another page ( ) even says that Outlook 2013 supports it, but it is not enabled by default and you have to enable it via registry.
